However not all technical problems can be solved with off the shelf software. This is why we frequently develop and build our own tools to tackle specific problems.

One of the most obvious areas where there is no readily available commercial tool is integrated asset modelling. Although software does exist to connect reservoir proxies up to the processing facilities none of these allow for cash flow and risk analysis. Moreover the existing tools are not really integrated, in reality they are complex standalone tools which have provisions for communicating with other complex standalone tools. Not surprisingly only a fraction of the existing IAM software is used in the way it was intended to be.

This is why Ingen has developed its own in house Integrated Asset Modelling software RAVE.

Another hole in the range of commercial products which has been identified is a qualitative screening tool. During our various field development projects we’ve identified a need for a tool which assist in structuring the brainstorming process, hence we’ve developed APRASE.

None our in house developed software is available for sale, these are just tools we use to be able to deliver as efficiently as possible.
